988-Russian-Roulette is a project I created about the suicide hotline. People who have called the hotline have reported rude tones, cliche advice, and inappropriate responses from their operators. The biggest issue is how the hotline handles its callers who have plans to harm themselves. The last thing a suicidal person should deal with is being institutionalized.
